In today’s health care delivery system, the Doctor of Optometry is the entry point for primary eye care services. For the past 25 years our doctors at Eye Specialists of Indiana have focused their efforts on the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases in adults. We have been able to build our specialized practice, limited to medical and surgical eye care, based on the referrals of numerous primary care optometrists throughout Indiana.
Continuing Education
Eye Specialists of Indiana prides itself in presenting the highest quality and most contemporary optometric continuing education (CE) available. Each year we host various continuing education programs, highlighted by our winter Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease (T.M.O.D) symposium which has been presented annually since 1979.
As the state’s first provider of advanced cataract care CE, hundreds of Indiana optometrists have been instructed by our doctors over the years. We are proud to continue this tradition of providing first-rate CE courses on an annual basis.
To learn more about our continuing education programs or to register for our next event, please contact us at (317) 925-2200. Typically, both IOB and Legend Drug continuing education credit is awarded for attending our CE programs.
Co-Management
We co-manage cataract treatment with our referring doctors and serve as an extension of your services. This practice ensures that you stay involved, resulting in the most comprehensive eye care possible for your patients. Our specialized treatment center serves as a resource that not only provides comprehensive state-of-the-art surgical and medical eye care, but is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the practice of optometry in the state of Indiana. ESI was founded to provide a consultation and co-management service that will improve and expand your practice of optometry.
ESI Post-Op Clinic
We typically invite new referring doctors to visit our office for a 4 hour post-op clinic. During the visit you will spend two hours in our clinic seeing patients with our doctors. Then, you will spend two hours in our surgery center seeing patients in surgery and during their postoperative evaluation. This enables you to meet with our doctors, get a better idea of how we run our practice and see what your patients experience!
You are eligible for four (4) hours continuing education credit for your time with us. Typically, we schedule post-op clinics on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. We will contact you in advance to find a time that best suits your schedule. Or, feel free to contact us to set up your post-op clinic.
